Obstacles to Achieving Brand Goals

Get out of your own way!
I am taking a really cool course through a company called Sociallogical ,it is all about Social Media. It is an online course and I can work on it as fast as I want to. You see I LOVE Social Networking (I am a social butterfly at heart) and I use my magic powers with organizing and decluttering to help people streamline their Social Networking. This course is an investment in me, and my clients.
One of the exercises that I had to do over the weekend involved three questions that really challenged me. Here they are with my answers.
1. What are the Brand Goals for elaine shannon Empress of Inspiration
I am known by many as the Empress of Inspiration…this was a title that was given to me back in 2007 when Kim Eagles and I were ordering our cards for our company Organizing Connection.
Being the CEO or president made me want to go to sleep…this Empress title really captured how I make people feel and I liked it…much better than my University Nickname… Ask me sometime and I will tell you all about it!
I want to be perceived as someone who is inspiring to be around, someone who can make you believe that you can do anything…and quite frankly you CAN. I am fun, easy to connect with, people trust me and I am an expert in many areas.
2. What are the keywords that you will use in your content?
Having many interests and specialties definately makes this keyword exercise so hard.
Cooking, travelling, organizing, social media, simplifying, new age interests, people, connecting, TIME…. I love them all.
Being the Empress allows me to share inspiration on a variety of topics and the feedback I am getting lately is that people visit my facebook page when they need a lift, want inspiration, to get moving on their day…that says something. I now have more opportunities to help people via my blog, Youtube Channnel, Speaking and Consulting in person or virtually.
Inspire, remove obstacles, de-cluttering, organizing, systemize, expert, guru, simplify, personal development…these are my keywords.
3. What are the obstacles to achieve brand goals and what will you do to overcome them?
Not enough Time- sorry excuse for someone who coaches people on use of time.
Fear- feel it and do it anyhow is my motto. I have a low survival need (see William Glasser -Choice Theory) fear does not deter me.
Limited funds- you don’t need a lot to push your brand using Social Networking.
Boredom… Bang did you hear that hammer hitting the head of that nail. My ADHD distractibality excitement for life gets the better of me, however yoga and meditation are really helping me to stay on track with the short list of goals I am now working on. I am going for quality over quantity in 2012. New Year, new attitude and direction.
Again I have to say how much I am enjoying this course developed by Jeff Roach, he calls himself a Social Connector, I refer to him as a Social Media Evangelist and the real person behind Sociallogical.

Elaine, this is a great idea to blog your goals as you set them. With your intention to become a mentor in the Sociallogical course, being this open and eager to share will give great insight and ideas to the people you help.
